Hmmm… The Day in Between

Much is written about the day my BFF died and the day He suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but what of the day in between; the day between polar opposites, life and death? (Matthew 27 & 28, Mark 15 & 16, Luke 23 & 24, John 19, 20 & 21)

Did His friends…

  • Go about their Sabbath business as usual?
  • Begin to doubt Him and all He taught them?
  • Spend the day in hiding while fearing for their lives?
  • Feel abandoned by someone they trusted?
  • Feel thankful for the time they did have with Him?
  • Spend the day together in shock and grief unable to think beyond what they had seen?
  • Cry out in agony, “Why?”
  • Begin to doubt themselves and their ability to discern the truth?
  • Focus only on the past, not wanting to think of a future without Him?

What of you, what are you thinking on this day in between?

  1. My overactive mind always pictures Him defeating death and collecting his keys to set the captives free!! This is no theology!!! Just my imagination 🙂

  2. Hi Sis, so much has been written about the days after Jesus was crucified, some claim Jesus was not crucified on the Friday, they say it was Wednesday or Thursday and yes they all claim they are right even though they all differ, sadly some don’t recognize Easter the same as we do and with some of them and others, don’t celebrate Christmas day which like Easter, at some time during the day or night is the same day all around the World .

So why don’t they … who leads us into all Truth 1 Corinthians 2 : 9-16 why did the Disciples begin to doubt themselves and their ability to discern the truth?

Pentecost had not yet come for them!

We both Love you in The Lord our dear Sister Karin, many blessings – Anne
