Hmmm… What will your legacy be?

When you are no longer part of this world, when you have said your last goodbye, what will the people left behind say about you? Why does it matter? Because it’s not what you gather but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived. (Philippians 3:7-9)

  1. And I think we answer that question every day. Every day, we build monuments of our existence. Everyday, we sow seeds, which will keep speaking after we depart.

We often spend more time doing things of no eternal significance whatsoever in the name of making a living. But I believe it is possible to live purposefully and still be provided for, by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

We need this reminder from time to time, as it helps us to be wiser and focus on what truly counts, given that we will one day depart. As the Psalmist said, “teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.'”

    • “Every day, we build monuments of our existence.” A very good description, Tolu. We either build monuments of faith or hardened hearts. I too believe living purposefully and having our needs met is possible, not only by seeking His kingdom first but also by remembering whatever we do will or will not give Him the glory.
      Keep the Faith!

  4. Very True Sis this is why we need God’s wisdom not man”s understanding , reasoning and logic we Trust in Jesus our only Teacher to lead us into all Truth, yes He may use others to to help us mature, encourage and uplift us like Paul did when he shared God’s Truth but we must know it to be able to test their spirit .

When we seek Jesus our only Teacher who is The Living Word (John 1:1) then with His wisdom we can understand the written word, which is what Jesus said to the Pharisees and it is confirmed in other Scriptures even though some have been Translated in error but Jesus will show us when there is error, we don’t have to worry when we have His mind and He leads us into all Truth ( 1 Corinthians 2: 9-16 )

John 5: 39 – 40 Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

1John 2:26-28 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.

Colossians 2 :2 -3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in Love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

1John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life.

John 15:14-15 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.(KJV)

Matthew 10:26-28 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops (KJV)

    Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go.
I will guide you with Mine eye.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

      • Yes very True Sis, God tells us to be the Salt and He tells us that Faith comes from hearing the Word which is Truth, Jesus is the Truth and our only Teacher by the empowering of The Holy Spirit into our hearts… many today share their own understanding not His Truth… sad but True.

        Christian Love Anne.
