About Isaiah43123

Welcome to My Hmmm Collection

I am Karin, born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and loving it. My experience as a daughter, sister, mother, Grammy and Aunt, a 30+year healthcare professional, a Crossroad Bible Institute Instructor, a designer/maker of Christmas ornaments, a lover of cooking but not baking, a survivor of domestic abuse, and a women who enjoys nature and loves her Creator give me a wealth of topics to ponder and write about.

Several times in my life, I tried keeping a journal/diary but became easily discouraged at missing a daily entry or two. I sometimes regret not sticking to it because you can learn a lot about a person’s character through their personal musings, and there is much more meaning if the musings are those of a family member. Not too long ago a dear friend told me of what I call her hmmm collection, entries of statements, quotes, clichés and personal revelations that make her say “hmmm”. These hmmm moments I believe are God inspired and bring with them the responsibility to ask…

  •  Why did I say hmmm?
  • What is God telling me?
  • Am I willing to do what He is telling me?

So begins My Hmmm Collection, God Reveals Himself in the Ordinariness of My Day

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3 (NLV)

  1. Love your blog. My greatest “hmmm” is that Jesus loves me – loved me when I was one huge mess, dragging His name through the mud, and justifying it all through the faulty use of His Word. That He continued to pursue me and win me over makes me Hmmm on a regular basis!

Look forward to reading more from you!

    In Christ,
    Praise Jesus!

    • Thank you Tami for stopping by and sharing a Hmmm of your own. While reading this, I kept thinking of the prodigal son, my favorite parable. I too was making a huge mess of my life but when I decided it was time to turn back to my best friend ever, He didn’t wait for me to reach Him, He ran to me tears of joy streaming down His cheeks, smiling and laughing with open arms full of love and forgiveness. How awesone He is!
      Keep the Faith!

    • Thank you! Yes, still hmmming. A schedule change at work makes it difficult to put together the many thoughts into blog posts. I do need to organize the many pieces of scrap paper and napkins with my musings jotted on them. Dear Lord, give me the time!

Thanks again and Keep the Faith!

    • Thanks for checking in Richard. Yes, all is well just extremely busy with other issues that keep me from posting. I have not stopped Hmmmming though. Thanks again.
      Keep the Faith!

    • Thank you for the nomination and your kind, encouraging words. I have accepted this nomination from Freedomborn in the past but will gladly add you to the presented by on the Blog Awards page. Thanks again and Keep the Faith!
